Keto Lemon Cake Chaffles
The convenience and ease of chaffles mixed with the deliciousness of lemon cake makes for the perfect keto treat. Keto Lemon Cake Chaffles are the best of both worlds.
One my favorite all time desserts is lemon cake. It is perfectly sweet, a bit tangy, and always super moist and decadent. In my opinion, it is the perfect dessert.
However, it’s not always convenient to make a whole cake. If you are a single person, or if you are the only one living a ketogenic lifestyle in your household, it isn’t very practical to make a whole cake. At least not all the time.
That is just one of the things that make these lemon cake chaffles so good: they don’t require the hassle of making a whole cake, baking a cake, cleaning up, or trying to scarf down a whole cake before it dries out.
This sugar free lemon cake chaffles recipe is super convenient, easy to make, and perfect for when you want something sweet ASAP with very little clean up!

What Is A Chaffle?
Good question. If you don’t know what a chaffle is, everything I just said probably made no sense. My bad.
Chaffles are one of the latest crazes to take the keto community by storm. The name “chaffle” is a combination of the words “cheese” and “waffle” because the original “chaffle” consisted of cheese and egg and was used as a bun replacement.
If you want to try this version of a chaffle, the original chaffle, be sure to see our Easy Traditional Keto Chaffle Recipe.
But, as things normally do, the original chaffle began to change and evolve and get even better.
That led to things like our White Bread Keto Chaffle | Wonder Bread Chaffle which is a ketogenic bread replacement in the form of a “chaffle.”
Even though “chaffles” are still called “chaffles,” they are no longer just cheese and egg in a waffle maker. While they have kept the name, they have changed a lot! Hence, the awesome recipe you are currently viewing!
Some like to refer to chaffles with no cheese simply as keto waffles, which is totally fair! In that case, this would be a keto lemon cake waffle!
Sweet & Savory Chaffles
We have already talked about savory chaffles. These are the classic bun replacement chaffles often containing cheese and egg made in a waffle maker. There are a number of varieties, but the recipes linked above pretty much cover the spectrum.
Then, of course, there are sweet chaffles.
These chaffles almost never actually include cheese, but they are made in a waffle maker. There are a million amazing sweet chaffle recipes out there! If you can dream it, someone has probably created it!
What makes chaffles such a great keto option is their ability to be easily customized and their convenience. Just throw a few ingredients into a waffle maker, let it cook for a few minutes, and before you know it, you have an amazing keto creation.
Best Mini Waffle Maker To Use:
One thing I should have mentioned is that chaffles are typically made in a mini waffle maker. And that makes sense, since chaffles started out as bun replacements.
No one needs a 12 inch bun for a sandwich… well, maybe. Actually, might not be that bad of an idea.
But if you’re looking for a waffle maker that will create the perfect sized chaffle that is roughly the same size as a hamburger bun or comparable to a slice of bread, you will want a mini waffle maker. Our recommendation is a Dash Mini Waffle maker.
The Dash mini waffle maker creates perfectly portioned (and portionable) dessert chaffles in addition to perfectly sized savory chaffles.
If you just want a snack, a single chaffle is perfect. Or, if you really want to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can stack multiple chaffles for a tower of deliciousness.
One of the great things about the Dash miniature waffle maker is the versatility that they offer.
In addition to that, the ease of use and simplicity of cleaning a Dash mini waffle maker is amazing! It is super convenient and requires almost no effort to use or clean. All round, Dash mini waffle makers are the perfect chaffle makers!
However, if you want to take on some heavy duty chaffle making, you might consider this waffle maker by Burgess Brothers. It creates four chaffles at once.
If you’re cooking for a family, food prepping, or just really like chaffles, this is a great option! No matter what you choose, it’s hard to go wrong when making chaffles!
