Keto Chocolate Peppermint Shake

Shakes are one of life’s greatest gifts. Seriously! Well, unless they are full of spinach and/or kale.

A good shake is creamy, cool, and just a tad sweet. If you agree, you will love this delicious keto chocolate peppermint shake!

We worked hard to make sure that this shake not only tasted great, but that it had the perfect texture. No one wants to try and suck concrete through a straw, while at the same time, it isn’t very satisfying to slurp up a melty, room-temperature concoction.

This shake is tasty and perfectly thick.

Best Holiday Keto Drinks

Let’s face it, the holidays are a time centered around food and drinks.

We make big meals, we eat lots of sugary snacks, and we drink sugary drinks. That’s just how it is. And I am all for it, with a few modifications, of course.

The holidays, and all of the yummy foods and drinks that go along with them, are meant to be enjoyed and bring people together. You can still enjoy the best part of the holidays, just do it your way.

That starts with modifying some of the classics. Since this is a shake post, we’ll just talk about this shake and we’ll touch on a few of the classic drinks and how you can still enjoy them, even if you’re keto/sugar free.

This keto chocolate peppermint shake is a cross between a peppermint mocha and a peppermint milkshake, sort of. We’ve combined some of the most popular peppermint drinks and made one delicious holiday drink you can easily make and enjoy any time.

We’ll talk more about what makes this shake keto a bit later.

We also have a keto version of the love-it-or-hate-it drink eggnog. In our opinion, our Best Keto Eggnog really is the best. It tastes just like the classic you know and love, just without the sugar or carbs you hate. Be sure to make this eggnog at least once this holiday season!

Peppermint Shake Flavor

On it’s own, this is a great keto chocolate shake.

But, we’ve taken this shake to the next level by adding just a tad of peppermint extract in to the mix, and it is a game changer! Not only did we add some peppermint extract into the shake, but we also added another delicious ingredient: ChocZero’s Peppermint Honest Syrup.

This syrup is amazing! It tastes delicious, it’s sugar free, it’s low carb, and its amazing (but I said that already). This syrup not only made this shake taste great, but it also helped to thicken it up a bit.

If you can, you’ll definitely want to add this syrup to your shake!

ChocZero is a fantastic brand for a number of reasons: they use no sugar alcohols, (and obviously that is something we can get behind!), their products are ethically sourced, GMO free, and have fantastic ingredients that won’t wreck your macros.

They have all sorts of yummy flavored syrups and chocolates to chose from! Check them out HERE. Our readers get 10% off using the code ‘buttertogetherkitchen‘ at checkout.

How To Sweeten Your Keto Shakes

What’s a peppermint shake without sweetener?

To make this shake, you’ll need a good keto friendly sweetener, and we know just the one! Lakanto’s monkfruit is by far our favorite keto friendly sweetener, and it’s the only one we use. Monkfruit is zero glycemic, meaning that it won’t affect your blood sugar levels at all, it tastes absolutely amazing, it has a 1:1 ratio to sugar so it is super easy to use if you are converting a traditional recipe to a keto recipe, and most importantly it tastes amazing!

If you’re someone who loves to make keto goodies, you need to use Lakanto’s monkfruit

Shop Lakanto’s website and check out all of their amazing sweeteners and products, and when you purchase your monkfruit don’t forget to use our code “BUTTERTOGETHER” to receive 20% off of your entire purchase!
